another day, another class
i had technologies, world and society today. this bugs me.. the invisible second comma. it always looks weird to me when i see a list like that without a comma in front of the and. anyway..
we have to write an essay answering the question, "what impact has the emergence of _______________ (insert an information and communication technology) technology had on _______________ (insert people/context)?" i figured i should try to think of a few ideas, so i can eventually start researching. maybe "what impact has the emergence of sms technology had on the english language skills of students in england?" or "what impact has the emergence of im technology had on the english language skills of students in north america?" can't think of anything else..

You could always pick up a random technology magazine and go from there. I think for those two there might be a difficulty in finding solid sources of evidence... but that's what I get for being a history student.
we do need 5 academic sources for our essay.. the first one i got from news articles i've read in the past. so i thought, maybe someone has done a study cause it was a concern at one point.
It's certainly possible, but 5 sources might be tough. See, for my essays I need to do in-depth research, using as many sources as pages, from things like archives and monographs (books devoted entirely to the specific topic). *sigh*
yeah, they're easier on us because it's a third year class and no one cares about it :)
anyway, i still have time to think it over and find something. i don't need to start writing until after the study break.
