catching some zzz's

while driving home today there was a short bout of traffic near an intersection. a van was sitting in the middle lane with the brakes engaged. the traffic light was green, so the cars in front of the van were long gone. the cars behind the van were struggling to get into other lanes to get around it. i ended up stopping right beside the van and looked in. it always bugs me when someone is stopped on the road and fails to put on their 4-way flashers and open their hood. anyway, the man in van had his chin on his chest and his eyes closed which had me worried for a moment. then some guy on the sidewalk walks in front of my car and knocks on the van window. the driver opens his eyes looks at him, sidewalk guy points to the road, the guy freaks out and drives off. the man was sleeping at the traffic light!! i couldn't believe it. i didn't see him up ahead when i crossed the traffic light, so i can only hope he pulled into the gas station or the grocery store and bought some water or got some fresh air.
