virgins & hitchhikers' weekend

i went home to ottawa this weekend since neesha had to drive down for a wedding anyway. saturday night i went clubbing, as usual.. the theme was de-virginizing clubbing virgins :) it was a successful night! sonal, bijal, tejal, reena (#2), and i headed to suite 34, which made me miss some things about ottawa: $5 parking in the middle of downtown on a saturday night, and $6 cover. *sigh* 'twas a cheap night indeed, especially since i was the designated driver. there was no drama.. which is a good and bad thing i suppose. good because it makes for a positive experience, bad because it makes for a boring story..

this morning was a late wake up and i headed downtown again for brunch with the familia. all we saw were police - left, right, and centre. EVERYWHERE. this is apparently how much i've been keeping up with the news because i had no clue there was a north american summit or conference going on this week. there were buses after buses of cops being brought into downtown. it was pretty amusing to see :)

on the way back to toronto tonight, jiten (neesha's fiancé) was driving the second half after belleville, with dharmesh in the passenger seat. i was closing my eyes for a few minutes and a i heard, "hey what's that..? it's spider-man! omigod, that's spider-man!" .. i open my eyes thinking they saw something on someone's window. no.. since it was barely crawling traffic, and we were in the far left lane, jiten moves onto the shoulder a bit, opens his door, reaches out and grabs.. a spider-man stuffed doll. *slaps forehead*

makes for a good random ending to the weekend.
