happy candy day!

i had my finals for my two correspondence courses today.. one was pretty brutal. we shall see how i did.

instead of setting them up at ottawa u and going all the way downtown just to take two exams, i took them at algonquin college. it was very amusing sitting in the hall; SO many people were dressed up! the best costume i saw was robin (batman & robin) with a big bulge .. err, down there :)

speaking of big bulges, this mcmaster student's defence in a sexual assault case: his penis is in the top 5% range! hehehe :)

the kids that have come by have been pretty cute! my mum gave candy to this one little girl and asked, "what are you?" .. "i'm a panda beaw!"

my cousin just wasted $80..

and several hours of his time :) i missed the game last night because i was studying.. *sigh* i slightly regret it but studying is a priority at this point. anyway, one of my cousins was at the game last night with his fiancée. IF i had been watching the game, i would have sent him a text message with the score after every goal just to rub it in. :) so this morning i sent my cousin a text saying, "go sens go!!"

reena vs. correspondence courses

i don't think i'll ever take a correspondence course again. me and textbooks just don't get along well enough for me to enjoy the whole process. at least in an interesting lecture setting (keyword being interesting) i actually learn stuff, then all i need to do is skim through the textbook to have the information sink in.

today's the first day of diwali. usually dad has the christmas lights up and turns them on for the five days, but this year neither my brother nor i had the time to help put them up. since they're not up for diwali, i really doubt he'll bother to get them up for christmas. i suppose the most important thing is having candles lit all around the house.

i am so smrt

my mum brought home some new drinks yesterday, one being fresca. she told me it wasn't a carbonated drink though to me it looked like it was. on the bottle's front label it says, "a refreshingly crisp citrus taste" and "natural and artificial grapefruit flavoured beverage". maybe she was right.. i took it to school with me this morning, figured i'd try it. just as i was about to open it, i noticed the word soda! bah. so i opened it, let some air in, then remembered anytime i was sick while i was younger my mum used to stir ginger ale to flatten it. aha! actually, not quite. i didn't have a spoon and even if i did it wouldn't have fit in the bottle. so i decided to do the next best thing: put the cap back on and shake. shaking is just like stirring right? so i shook, and shook, and shook some more thinking i was the smartest person in the world. as i was opening the cap i realised how dumb the idea was. i didn't make a huge mess though; only a few drops fell on the floor because i quickly closed the cap again before i was about to make a huge mess of the computer lab floor and be banned from it forever.

once the fizz died down, i decided to try it since it's been a long time since i've drank something carbonated. holy batman, it felt like my mouth was the battlefield for world war II! now my stomach feels funny..

i eat often.. :|

today was one of two alloted seminar sessions during market research for groups to get input from the class regarding their questionnaire before it's distributed. (my group went early last week due to the nature of our project.) there was one group that presented a questionnaire they compiled for the local entertainment newspaper ottawa xpress. under the section regarding eating habits, there was one question: "how often do you eat out?" simple, straight-forward question, no? well.. one girl in our class suggested that they reword it because the first thing that popped into her head when reading the question had to do with the interpretation of the word "eat". get yourself into dirty mind mode and you'll understand her point. it was hilarious watching her give an explanation because her face was getting redder, and redder to the point she looked like a firehouse tomato! too funny! i can imagine her sitting in a board room, all serious, discussing strategies for a fortune 500 company until someone says, "penetration is likely limited by basic usability issues".. oh she'd explode.

things are still ugly around here..

i'll fix up this page after my exams on halloween.

i got my final exam schedule for december. wow.. worst EVER! december 13th, 14th, 15th, then two on the 19th. the last two are both 4th year courses, but at least they're not difficult - market research and multinational business policy. heh, the second one sounds intimidating but surprisingly it's not.

my treo phoned home this morning.. odd considering the keys were locked. maybe it's possessed by e.t.

brinkster's suckage = new blog

well i'm sick of brinkster. i looked through their support forum to see if i could find out why my site disappears on a regular basis. the only answer i found for the problem was, "buy webspace you cheap arse". right. i admit, those of us on the educational account are freeloaders, BUT shouldn't you make sure that each account is functionning? that it doesn't just go kaput on a regular basis? it's all part of the brinkster image, no? yes, i'm venting and making dumb excuses as to why i shouldn't have to pay for webspace right now.

so here i am, moved to an alternative free host. i'm jumping on the blogger bandwagon. (my blog on brinkster will still be around until i start paying for webspace at some point in my lifetime..)
