internet explorer doesn't like me, i'm sure.

oh woe is me. i'm trying to do up the layout of the website for the charity event my parents are organizing for a second year (amar aasha). so far it looks alright on opera and mozilla, but on internet explorer it's a little wonky. i'm trying to figure out from the old site layout how i got it to work, but nothing seems to work. so frustrating! why can't the whole world use opera or mozilla? or at least everyone in ottawa..
