Um, 'good music' from three decades could involve me supplying a very very long list... any particular parameters? :)

no sappy songs, no ballads, upbeat. fun driving music, does that shorten it?

That actually doesn't shorten it that much... I have 3 custom CDs specific to the rather more limited category of 80s hair rock... :)

Alright I'll at least make an effort toward what I think you might be looking for (from my current playlist of over 500, and disturbingly weighted towards the hair rock)...

Aerosmith - Dude Looks Like a Lady
Aerosmith - Walk This Way
Beastie Boys - Brass Monkey
Beastie Boys - Fight for your Right
Beastie Boys - Hey Ladies
Billy Idol - White Wedding
Bon Jovi - Born To Be My Baby
Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name
Chuck Berry - Johnny B Goode
The Clash - Rock the Casbah
Colin James - Voodoo Thing
Dead or Alive - You Spin Me Round
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me
EMF - Unbelievable
George Thorogood - Get a Haircut
Iggy Pop - Lust for Life
Joan Jett - I Love Rock and Roll
KISS - Rock 'n Roll All Night
Lenny Kravitz - Are You Gonna Go My Way
Patrick Hernandez - Born to Be Alive
Poison - Your Mama Don't Dance
Rick Derringer - Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo
The Romantics - What I Like About You
The Cult - Lil' Devil
The Ramones - Do You Wanna Dance
Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It

I'm sure I could find more if you like. :)

Oh yeah I also have a folder full of Retro and Disco music (128 songs), it's just not on my playlist because it gets on my nerves a little after awhile...
