women overshoes

so yesterday on my way home from school, i saw a man wearing overshoes which got me thinking.. guys are lucky - women don't have anything like that. but i quickly came to the realization that women overshoes really wouldn't work. first, it's hard to make an overshoe look fashionable. second, you can't wear it with any kind of shoe. there are different types and sizes of heels which would require different kinds of overshoes (and women don't usually have less than four different styles of shoes in their closet..). lastly, there's the obvious: women wouldn't be happy with only one colour of overshoe. there must be different ones to go with different outfits. which ties into the fashionable point. women are usually concerned about the fashionista aspect no matter where they are, what the situation.

i know these fashionista opinions are not the same for every single female out there. my mind was just going into business mode thinking.. women's overshoes - untapped market! yeah, that would be a tough sell to professional women, let alone women in general.
